goodbye dormy, hello home.

Drum roll please…… I would like to let you all know that I survived my freshman year. It started out a bit rough, but it got better each and every day. I loved college and I love BYU even more now. Go cougs. I am currently sitting at home, unpacked and its so weird. Moving home puts a bittersweet taste in my mouth. I am so excited for summer so I can have a break from the loads of homework I conquered this year, but there are so many things about college that I am going to miss. I will miss the BYU 153rd ward. Just like my Bishop told us… we by far had the best ward. All of the guys were crack ups and I will miss them lots.. they are such great boys. See ya in two. And the girls. Oh the girls. Both the 1100 and 1200 hall girls I will definitely miss the talks, the pranks, the tears, the lessons, the eating, and just them. All of you girls are amazing. Not kidding and I can’t wait to see ya on campus in the fall. I’m for sure going to miss our huge, memory phone, heaven BGB (big girl bed… thanks for the name em crowd.) That bed was the greatest. Lastly, as weird or as cheesy as this may sound, considering she’s 30 minutes away in provo, I am going to miss having a roomie. i’ll miss the deep talks, the dancing parties, jamming to music, random rounds of catch phrase, the constant laughing no matter what time of day, the long hours of our pal Norm... I’ll miss always blurting out my random dumb thoughts and yet you’d listen. What a trooper. Thanks for putting up with me megadump. You are a gem.

But…. As sentimental as that sounded, it may have convinced you that I miss it more than I love being home… wrongo. I am so excited to be home and to be living the life back in D-town (draper)… ya know. Here is a list of the things I plan to accomplish this summer. Strictly for your enjoyment.

Vegas baby

Vegas… as you all know has a pretty bad reputation. Poor guy. But what can ya do? If ya minus all the trashy drunk people Vegas is a real treat. There are hotels galore, shows to be seen, and last but not least AMAZING SHOPPING. My roomdizzle (roommate) invited me down with her mother and sister. & boy… these ladies taught me how to shop! 2 days straight of literally ‘shoppin till you’re droppin’. I certainly needed a weekend get away and Vegas you helped me out. So thanks.

Just a little FYI note… I am a bargain shopper. Anything full price is ugly. The more on sale it becomes the more appealing it is on the eyes. And guess what? Ashley, her mom and sister are the same way. What a relief. We walked directly to the sale racks of any store we entered. Some may think that’s a cheap habit… well I’d say it’s a smart way to get more of what you want.

Best purchase of the trip you might ask? These little beauties are my new besties. I’ve worn them twice and I’ve had them… for about 2 days. Pretty good odds. I should probably slow down though I don’t want to wear these little guys out. They are too great.
Peace & Love. Wish me luck on finals :)

My Sisterhood :)

The sisterhood-
Last night I was extremely lazy, which seems like a common theme lately… and I decided to watch sisterhood of the traveling pants 2. I love love love this movie with my whole heart. That movie makes me want to visit Greece more than you know.. so Greece, be expecting a visit from me sometime in the distant future. While watching these 4 best friends grow up but manage not to grow apart it made me think of my own sisterhood. The 3 girls that I grew up with and made more memories with than I think is humanly possible. Going away to college has been a bit difficult when it comes to the sisterhood, I don’t see them much but I truly miss them more than they could know. So girls, you know who you are, this blog is for you.
Remember:
1. The countless drives to and from Alta blasting music and loving every second of it. (not to mention the near death experiences we frequently encountered.)
2. The time we drew sharpie tattoos ALL OVER our body and then for some reason decided to sleep on a leather couch…
3. All of the many memorable girls camps we went to together… streaking through the woods? However dramatic that was… it is definitely a memory. Haha :)
4. Tibbie- the time Carmen wasn’t even home and we went to her house to eat her food and play Sims.
5. Carmen-the time we were so mad at each other that you threw a remote at me and I threw a brush at you… luckily we’re still friends,
6. The time I broke my arm going off that lame bike jump in the neighborhood.
7. “our list” :)
8. spooning/forking on the driveway.
9. Youth conference when we gave every guy in our ward a nickname.
10. Build-a-bears and Polly pockets and Sims and Play-mobile need I say more?
11. Trek and the most amazing spiritual emotional drive we had after.
12. Our amazing adventures biking all over draper and pulling rollerbladers behind our bikes.
13. The countless hours we spent making and playing on our wooden computers.
14. Bridget and Carmen- the night we spent all night trying to fall asleep in weird positions so Willa would walk in and…. I’m not sure what we wanted her to think.
15. The time we tried to hatch chicks out of store bought eggs. We were a determined bunch.
16. The time I lit my hair on fire in Tibbie’s basement.
17. The hours and hours and hours of shopping with Tonya… probably one of the worst memories.
18. Carmen- member when we loved to be detectives when we were younger and we figured out who ran storm over and what the password was on your computer. Putting it simply.. we were genius’s.
19. All of our trick-or-treating days together, and then spending hours after in Bridget’s shed trading it.
20. Practicing our dances, doing our hair and making our hats for the temple celebration.
21. Trading clothes with each other. I swear the other person’s closet always had the perfect outfit.
22. The time we all slept in Carmen’s room and Tibbie slept in the closet.
23. The temple trips we made together before school.
24. Going through Young Womens together and loving the time we were Laurels so the purple chairs were rightfully ours.
25. Being cheerleaders at our brothers baseball games. And Bridget- skipping school for the state champion game.
26. All of those games of basketball and volleyball almost making it to regions, or more commonly losing the first game of regions. -Cc2 the church is true haha.

Bridget, I have known you the longest and we were best friends right from the start. I can’t tell you how much you mean to me. All the long talks we’ve had riding in Gloria, being hawk hero, going on runs and just enjoying each others company. Thankyou for always listening to my stories and laughing at my lame jokes. You are always smiling and so encouraging when I have had a rough day. Also thanks for always letting me borrow your darling clothes. Dang girl what style :). I love ya sis.

Tibbie, you moved to this ward for a reason. You are the weirdest, craziest, kindest sister I got. You truly are Tibbie. I could always count on you when I needed a friend and to be ready on-time when I would pick you up. Haha (unlike the other two). I loved the stupid notes we wrote, words we made up, and secret codes we would talk in. I knew I could always count on you to eat healthy with me and have a good cry when we both needed one. Love ya Tib.

Carmen, Dang girl come home from China. The thing that is the most unique about us is the fact that we don’t have to hang out to know we are best friends. When ever we hang out it is filled with laughter that never ends. Our talks are the most emotional deep talks ever. When ever we had questions we could go to each other and know we could get a good answer. All the goals we made together to read the scriptures, and be healthy, and “I’ll bare mine if you bare yours” while we were crying and holding hands at girls camp. I will never forget them. I love you and would advise you to come home from China soon before I go insane k?
These are only a few memories off of the top of my head, but I just want the three of you to know that I love you and miss you. You three are more than just friends to me, you are my sisters. We’ve been through tough times and good times; fighting, laughing, crying, and smiling the whole time. We need a sisterhood reunion soon :)
