Top 15 please don’ts:

Dear boys,
I love you all but I just have a few tips for you. Don’t take offense, these are just some suggestions to help your success, not just with me, but with most girls.

1.   Please don’t: correct my English when you are trying to flirt with me.
2.   Please don’t: tell me that its ridiculous that I don’t have an IPHONE because my dad works for Apple.
3.   Please don’t: wear plaid with plaid, plaid with stripes, stripes with stripes… you get the picture.
4.   If I don’t text back, Please: don’t send the message again, I will get back to you when I can.
5.   Please don’t: automatically judge me the second I say that I am from Utah, there are a lot of good people from Utah.
6.   Please don’t: remember my name if I forgot yours, it could get slightly awkward.
7.   Please don’t: wear Pooka shells.. so out.
8.   Please : when you call me to hang out; xbox and the jazz game are not my idea of fun.
9.    Please: Contrary to popular belief.. we like it when you shower.
10. Please don’t: Black mail is not a way to win a girls heart.
11. Please don’t: rub it in when you get a better test score than me.
12. Please don’t: tell me the SAME directions 20 times.. I understood   the 1st time.
13. Please don’t: take me on a date to the canon? Not impressive.. that is your daddy’s money.
14. Please don’t: lie to get a beard card?? Seriously?? Facial hair is gross….
15. Please don’t: ask me if I just came to BYU to get married.

Thanks for your cooperation,
Much love : )

T.U.E.S.D.A.Y

Tuesday. Toosday. Twosday. Tosday. 2sday.
Life has so many options, as does the English language.
Today was a wonderful Tuesday.
While I was walking back from class today I ran into a girl in my hall. We aren't great friends but I absolutely adore her. She is an international student, and she is not a member of the church.. Yet. She chose to come to BYU simply because they have a good accounting program, and because she heard the people were nice. What a reputation! I instantly made a mental note to 'try a little harder to be a little.. nicer'. She had not heard of the church before she started school a little over 3 months ago. She then told me that she has been meeting with the missionaries and that she has decided to get baptized on the 8th of January. Her phone call with her dad did not go well though, she was up all hours of the night last night crying while telling him the decision she had made. She finished the story by telling my how glad she was that she has opposing opinions in her decision to be baptized. She said it has made her realize how much the church means to her and how much she wants to be baptized. I was in awe! What a spiritual giant, and she has only been exposed to the church for a few months. Missionary experiences are around us everywhere, even at BYU.
Another very special thing happened tonight, Kelsie, one of my best friends, has been having a rough time with her health. Tonight on top of a dead arm and a swollen face she got a fever. I called two of my greatest guy friends Sam Zarbock and Ben Collett and at around midnight they dropped everything to run to Kelsie's and give her a priesthood blessing. They are amazing.  I felt the spirit so strong during the blessing. I know that I was not the one receiving the blessing but I felt comforted as well. I am so lucky to be surrounded with worthy priesthood holders everywhere I go. I was raised by an amazing father who was always willing and ready to give me a priesthood blessing. He raised my older brother the same way and I would like to thank them right now for that. For being worthy. For magnifying their callings as priesthood holders. Thankyou to the amazing group of guy friends that I have been lucky enough to associate with in high school and college. Those that are at college awaiting their missions and those that are serving missions. Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou.
