Brushing paid off my dear.

While sitting in one of those leather retractable chairs at the dentist I couldn’t help but make a bullet point list in my head of all the reasons I dislike the dentist.
·      Multiple peoples hands get to go in your mouth… which I don’t exactly love.
·      The fluoride is always nasty. Always.
·      The polisher is disgusting (say that word like the two obnoxious chaps from Hitch. Ya know what I’m talking about?).
·      The tickling tool that applies the polisher makes me, my teeth and my gums wish we were dead.
·      When the dentists assistants are just digging around in your mouth they still hold you responsible to continue the small talk. I don’t think they understand that when someone else’s fist is in your mouth it makes it a tiny bit hard to utter useless facts about yourself.
·      They have no mercy when they try and rip your gums open with their floss made of leather.
·      My mouth is stuck in the shape of an O for the following hour because they make you hold it open for so long.

Okay I’m done complaining. Good news from the trip to the dentist. No cavities for this girl. Also I got a new toothbrush which always makes brushing your teeth more of a thrill.

Oh and P.S. i love my best friends. and giant rocking horses. so this picture is just muy bueno.

day of birth and cousin by birth.

Okay its been awhile since I’ve posted. So I’m warning you right now this might be a long one. First off I have the best friends and family ever :). Thanks everybody for the birthday wishes, it was a very memorable birthday. I am now in the 19 club wahoo!! My darling parents decided to get me this.......

for my birthday and oh boy am I in love. It is just as great as everyone says it is. Iphones just increase the happiness in life. Just saying. I also got some other great presents from my friends including a snazzy bra, darling hat and sunglasses, a photo collage that makes me legitimately LOL everytime I look at it, and a locket that is still waiting for me to insert pictures. It will happen. I pinky promise.

Secondly, i want to make a shout out to this girl. ^^^^ Michelle Monique Denning. One of the most amazing girls I have ever had the chance to meet. AND I am lucky to be related to her… so basically I’ll get to hang out with her for eternity. Best cousins forever. Everytime we’re together, without fail, we find something stupid yet entertaining to do.. there is never a time where we are not laughing our heads off while we’re together. these include eating banana wheat thin sandwiches, putting sleeping bags in our pants and sliding down the stairs, dressing up as 70's aerobic work out ladies, taking dolls when we went to hang out with people, our many rollerblade adventures, alpine days, the trips up to palisades and the fun we have in the tent, sitting out side of skyler and haydens tent listening to them talk and fart then throwing rocks at them, all of the family parties, the sneaky times we've had, watching lion king with bronson and gunnar hahahaha. the back scratches, the movie marathons, the shopping adventures, riding home in that dang truck from palisades, the hundreds of boxes of captain crunch we've been through, dressing up as gangsters and scaring people at the park, making up dances, doing our hair crazy and poofing our hair huge, the late night crazy weird stories we text to people. just for fun, the hundreds of movie quotes and song lyrics that we send to people when we're bored on car rides, the songs we yelled and yelled and yelled because we were mad at boys, all of my glasses of water that you drank, the midnight jogs at beca's apartment, making music videos... and this list could go on forever. she is such a great example to me of someone who has gone through so much and still remains so strong. She is always cheerful and happy and makes me smile even when I’m in the worst mood. She is always there for me, NO MATTER WHAT when I’m having any sort of problem. She believed in me when no one else did and I can never thank her enough for that. So chelley thanks. Thanks for being my best friends. Thanks for making me want to be a better friend. Thanks for letting me smile in the mirror next to you even when you aren’t ready yet. Thanks for acting like you’re 4 when you’re with me. Thanks for modeling swim suits over top of your clothes with me. Thanks for all of the tears, talks, laughs, parties, boys, and memories we’ve been through together. I love you forever my dear :)

we're working on pronunciation.

I’m no chef. I like to think of myself of a baker. I love to make cookies, brownies, cakes and ya know lots of sweet things. I really do enjoy the process of making and cooking things of that sort. dont get me wrong i'm no cake boss.. i just enjoy it. But other cooking? Meh. Doesn’t really spark an interest and I don’t know why. Maybe its because I can lick the bowl when I’m done making brownies and cakes. That was super random. anywho. Mondays are usually not liked by many. So in order to help brighten your day here is a snippet of the cutest little 4 year old ever (his birthday was Friday). I asked him to pronounce 2 words while I filmed him. If this doesn’t make you smile I don’t know what will.
Three…

Scooter…

Isn’t he a doll? I think so.
enjoy bachelorette tonight everybody :)

The library and I are best friends.

I love summer because it means I can read what I want to read when I want to read it. This summer I’ve already read 4 books! Proud of me? Cause I kinda am. I read The Hunger Games series which was such a page turner. I couldn’t put the books down and I finished all 3 in under a week. Mind you all of them are around 200-300 pages. If you haven’t taken the time to read them shame on you. No I’m just kidding but seriously go read them… Right now.

The next book I read was called Daughters of Rome. I found it at the Library. It was below average. I wouldn’t waste your time reading it. I was kind of excited because it was about Rome and Mrs. Hughes, my art history teacher in high school, made me fall in love with ancient Rome, so I was hoping this book could give me an idea of life back then with a fictional twist. But it was disappointing. Now I’m onto The Choice by the one the only Nicholas Sparks. Lets just say I was in the mood for a love story. I also found 2 other Nicholas Sparks books. I’ll report back and let you know how they were.

pinning on pinterest.

Okay… so there’s this new thing that ‘everybody is doing’. Yeah I’m not trying to follow the crowd but I LOVE IT. That might  be an understatement. I’m slightly obsessed. Its called Pinterest. You have to get an invite to start… and I was invited today so I’m pretty cool. Just kidding around. But seriously I love it. Everyone just posts pictures of things they love, want, want to make, love doing.. you get the picture. Then if you love it you pin it to your board. Its pretty legit. So all of your favorite crafts, or pictures, or your dream houses yadayadayada can all go on your board. Yeah I know its genius. Go check it out. Mine is http://pinterest.com/stonerbabe/ and don’t make fun. I just started today remember. Don’t get as obsessed as I am k? well try. Love you all.

p.s. it is a beautiful day and the sun is out :)

time. there is never enough of it.

As we get older days, weeks, months, semesters and years all start to fly by in a blur. It was only a month ago that I graduated from high school right? Wrong.. very wrong indeed. Close to a year ago I left the high school scene and was thrown into the world of the Zoobie. Then I think about it and whoa… my freshman year is over too. Where does the time go? Then I start to think about this dilemma I have going on, ya know time flying by too fast, and I realize I’m the one making it happen. My eyes are always set on some distant time or place that I can’t wait to arrive at. In high school I longed to be on the BYU campus. At BYU I couldn’t wait to be home, done with school, working as a nanny. And now as a Nanny I look forward to the weekends, Lake Powell and a fabulous trip to New York. There is really no one to blame but myself. So from now on I pledge to find joy in the small, and slightly entertaining things that make my day a day, laughing all the while. Here are a few of those moments I think you might enjoy as well…
·      Having the fire alarm go off 3 times in one day in a failed attempt to make muffins.
·      Taking in the scene of you and a 3 year old  opening every door and window and running around the house waving oven mitts trying to air the house out.
·      Listening to a disgusted 9-year-old whine about Adam and Eve’s nudity in the Garden of Eden.
·      Kissing scrapes, cuts and skimmed knees better, only after applying a good dosage of Neosporin and a band aid.
·      Reading a Scooby-doo magazine EVERYTIME you go to the library.
·      Making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches without the peanut butter.
·      Having hundreds of strangers stare at you wondering if you were ’16 & pregnant’.
·      Hearing the 7 year old wisely teach the 3 year old that “duh… girls don’t fart. I learned that in school.”
·      Watching 3 boys dip there head in a bucket of water, then run around the house like maniacs with their shirts off.
·      Holding a sobbing child while he explains that “a bee that stings you” flew by him.
·      Hearing “whoa… do that again” everytime I have to move the seat up to reach the peddles of my new swagga wagon (mini van).
These are just a few of the funny and downright hilarious things I hear everyday. Yes, these children can be infuriating at times but I love them to pieces and from here on out I’m going to not get caught up in the future, but try to enjoy the present :)
p.s. glee... you did it again. listen to this song and if you don't LOVE it... there must be something wrong with you.

Cinco De Mayo. more celebrating.

Happy Cinco De Mayo folks :). Today we had a party celebrating this magnificent holiday. And by we I mean Sawyer, Carter, Parker (the boys I nanny), and I. It was a splendid party. We put on festive Sombreros, drew mustaches on our faces with washable marker, and ate nachos, taquitos, and chips and salsa. Needless to say we had a good time.

Being a nanny is the greatest. Lets take a review of some of the highlights of my first week of nannying shall we?
Monday Parker and I went to the park. He is such a flirt, and he’s only three! He chased an older girl around the whole time, I think he had a crush.
(PK on the Slide)
(She's a few feet taller but that won't stop Parker)

Tuesday I took parker to the Merry-go-round at South Towne and we rode around a few times. Parker loved it!

Wednesday the boys made mothers day cards. They were so darling. then we took some pictures and printed them out to give to their Mom. Three handsome boys I’d say. Happy Mothers Day to all you amazing mothers, from the Knowlson Boys :)
(Sawyer, the 9 year old)
(Carter, the 7 year old)
(& Parker, the 3 year old)

Its friday, so relax and celebrate guys!
